WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE EU'S GDPR

On May 25, 2018, the European UnionŐs (EU) far-reaching General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) became effective. The law is a result of the EUŐs effort to maximize their citizensŐ privacy by creating very stringent rules about data, when it can be collected, under what circumstances, who can collect it, how long it can be stored for, and giving people the right to have their data deleted. In this video, PLDO Partner Brian Lamoureux sorts through the regulation and describes how US businesses are affected and what steps they can take to avoid enforcement violations. For more information about how to ensure your organization is in compliance with the GDPR, call Attorney Lamoureux at 401-824-5100 or email bjl@pldolaw.com.
